It’s not really fair to say I was inspired by Peter Wohlleben’s “The Hidden Life of Trees,” because I bought that book knowing I had a greater-than-average interest in the things happening in the forest.
For a while, I thought it would be cool to find a book that organized all the processes in the forest chronologically, so I could flip through to today’s date and see what to look for on my next hike.
I couldn’t find that book and reassured myself that I’d write it in my retirement.
Then, doing some ‘armchair research,’ I picked up Peter Wohlleben’s book and thought “well, I could use this as a starting point and start organizing the stuff myself.”
My short-term goal is to make a series of informative worksheets and the accompanying lesson plans for a conversation lesson… but more to have someone to share my enthusiasm with than because I sense a need in the world.
